  Guideline for IADR/SEAADE Abstract Submission

The joint IADR/SEAADE meeting will include oral and poster presentations. Applicants may indicate their preferred mode of presentation and the Scientific Committee will make every effort to comply with the requests of the authors. In the event that your request is not honoured, and you wish to have your abstract withdrawn, you must indicate this desire on the abstract form. In the absence of an expressed wish to have an abstract removed, participants are obliged to present in the assigned mode. Applicants are encouraged to take an active part in both the IADR and SEAADE sections of the meeting. The SEAADE section will focus on the education of oral health care workers. An individual participating in the joint meeting can submit only one abstract and present only one paper in each of the IADR and SEAADE sections of the joint meeting. Presenters may appear as co-authors on other abstracts.

Abstract Preparation Instructions

It is important that you follow the abstract preparation instructions and that you complete and sign the abstract forms.

All applications to present an Oral or Poster Communication at the joint IADR/SEAADE Meeting must be accompanied by an abstract.

Abstracts must be submitted on one of the abstract forms provided. If you require additional forms, the original forms may be photocopied. Type your abstract directly onto either an original form or photocopied form.

In order to achieve a uniform style for publication in the Abstracts Book, authors are requested to conform to the following (see abstract example):

Title
Limit your title to ten or fewer words. The title should indicate the content of the abstract in a concise manner. Start the title on the first line outside the dotted box.
Authors
List each author's name in capital letters after the title. The name should include the first and middle initials. Place an asterisk (*) after the name of the author presenting the paper. The name of the institution(s) must follow the name of the last author's and should be enclosed in parentheses. Addresses may be abbreviated. An asterisk is placed after only one name per abstract.
Content
The abstract must contain a breaf statement of the objectives of the investigation, experimental methods used, essential results, including data and, where appropriate, statistics. Conclusions should be underlined and, where a supporting grant has been recieved, the agency and grant number should be quoted. All text should be fitted within the box of the abstract form.
Font
Authors are required to use clear typeface of minimum size 10 pitch. Abstracts that have been either reduced before submission or printed in small type will be refused.
