On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), I am pleased to invite you to the 19th IADR/SEA and the 15th SEAADE Annual Scientific Meetings in Koh Samui, Thailand from September 3 to 6, 2004. From the success of organizing two IADR/SEA meetings in Thailand in 1989 and 1997, I am confident that the Meetings in Koh Samui will be even better.

As we have embarked into the complexities and challenges of the new millennium, the theme "A New Paradigm in Oral Health Science Education and Research" is chosen for the Meetings. It is an honor for us that the world leaders in dental research and dental education have accepted our invitations to enrich this year's theme. In addition to the scientific programme, pre and post meeting workshops are planned to accommodate those who are interested in both dental education and research methods.

As the Meetings will be held in Koh Samui, the LOC has prepared several social activities for you and your accompanied persons. Samui has been named "A gem of the Gulf of Siam" for its peaceful and beautiful beaches and ecosystem. Needless to say, early registration is highly recommended because of its popularity among the world destinations.

I thank the keynote speakers, researchers and volunteers for their generous contributions to the Meetings and I am looking forward to welcoming you in Koh Samui this September.
