Call for Papers

The Second IADR Malaysian Section (SEA Division) and the Twelfth SEEADE joint Annual Meeting would like to invite participants to present in the Oral or Poster Sessions of this meeting. The mode of presentation preferred should be indicated in the abstract forms and the Scientific Committee will make every effort to comply with the author's request.

Applications to present should be accompanied by an abstract using the prepared form included in this brochure and following the guidelines in the sample abstract leaflet. Completed IADR/SEAADE abstract form which has been signed by the presenter should be sent to:

Travel Award

IADR Malaysian Section Travel Award

The IADR Malaysian Section Travel Award is sponsored by Dentsply and shall be awarded at the IADR Malaysian Section Annual Scientific Meeting. Two prizes are available each year, and each winner shall recieve a cash prize of US$500 to be used by the recipient to participate in the IADR SEA Division Travel Award Competition held in the IADR Southeast Asian Division annual scientific meeting immediately following the Malaysian Section Meeting.

Eligibility

The award is open to current active/student members of the IADR Malaysian Section (SEA Division), who are under 35 years of age. In order to qualify for the Travel Award, the researchers must also be current members of the IADR-SEA Division. The aim of the award is to encourage young and outstanding researchers who may be presenting their research for the first time. Researchers who have presented their work at previous scientific meetings may take part provided that :-

1. They have not previously made more then a total of three presentations at national and/or international scientific meetings

2. Their first presentation took place less than two years before the date of the Malaysian Section Meeting

3. The paper submitted is original and has not been presented at any national or international scientific meeting

Registration of Interest to Participate

Candidates are required to indicate their interest to participate in the Travel Award competition in the abstract form submitted for the Second IADR Malaysian Section (SEA Division) Scientific Meeting.

Competition Format

The presentation will need to be submitted in the form of a poster.

A panel of judges will judge entries to the Travel Award competition during a specially designated closed section at each Annual Scientific Meeting of the IADR Malaysian Section. Candidates will have to present orally and answer queries put forth by these judges. In any year if no candidate is deemed to have achieved a worthy standard, the travel award shall be withheld.

Candidates are also expected to be present during the general poster session to answer questions from participants.
