  Guidelines for Abstract and Papers Submission  
 

Guidelines For Abstract & Papers

  • Manuscripts have not been published elsewhere
  • Abstract should not exceed 200 words and be written in English and Bahasa Indonesia, typed in MS Word, Times News Roman font 12 and double-spaced. Papers may be research articles, case reports or review articles. The title should be less than 15 words and typed in capital. The full name of the authors and co-authors (omit Degrees) are written to be followed by name of department and institution
  • Full paper should be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia with on one side of an A4 paper, 3 cm margin all round and not more than 10 pages including figures, charts, tables and references. Full paper should be submitted in 2 hard copies as well as an electronic copy in a 3.5" floppy disk

Content of abstract

  • Research articles - Introduction, objectives, materials and methods, results and conclusion (underlined)
  • Case reports - Introduction, objectives, case operation procedures and conclusion (underlined)
  • Review article - Introduction, objectives of literature studies, discussion and conclusion (underlined)

Content of full papers should be organized as follows:

  • Research articles - Introduction, Objectives, Material and methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgement, References
  • Case reports - Introduction, objectives, case operation procedures, discussion, conclusion, acknowledgement and references
  • Review article - Introduction, literature studies, discussion, conclusion and references
  • Figures, charts, graphs and photographs - should be submitted separately. Black and white photographs should be printed in a glossy paper with the author's name on the back of each figure, charts, graphs or photographs
  • References - have to be numbered according to Vancouver system

Mode of Presentation

Oral and poster presentation might be in English.

Guidelines for Presentation

  • Oral Presentation
    Slides should be written in English
  • Main lectures
    30 min presentation and 15 min discussion
  • Integrated seminar
    15 min presentation for each presenter and 5 min discussion
  • Paper presentation
    15 min presentation and 5 min discussion

Poster Presentation

  • Poster - Should be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia in a 120 cm (height) X 90 cm (width).

Abstracts and papers selection

The scientific committee will evaluate all abstracts and papers that fulfill the requirement of submission to the Journal of Dentistry Universitas Indonesia. Manuscript will be edited without changing the content.

All accepted papers for research articles and case reports will be selected and the best articles of these categories will be awarded to join a regional dental conference. There will also be an award for best poster presentation.
