Message from the President (2008 - 2010)

Dear Colleagues,

Welcome to SEAADE web-site.

We just finished with our annual meeting in Manila – the Philippine which was held in October 7 – 8, 2008 back to back with IADR SEA Division meeting. It was a successfully and fruitful meeting with most of SEAADE members represented.
On behalf of SEAADE, I would like to congratulate the LOC under the leadership of Prof Dr Maria Godoy and Prof Dr Arturo de Leon for their hard work and commitment to prepare and hold the meeting. My deeply thanks and appreciation also go to our sponsors from Kavo, GC Company, Dentsply and others who have supported SEAADE activities for years. I really hope that our partnership will continue in the future.

For your information, SEAADE now has developed with 39 members of Dental schools in SEA region and I believe that this number will continue increasing. The various SEAADE activities such as Deans forum, Prevention programme and research competition for students, Free papers presentation for faculty members as well as SEAADE Peer review programme have attracted dental schools beyond SEA region such as from Japan, Korea and China, to joint in the next meeting. This is very interesting point and a challenge for SEAADE to review its vision and mission to become more open organization and having communication with dental schools in Asian region. I believe that openness will benefit to our members and SEAADE will become benchmark for other similar organizations. 

Finally, on behalf of SEAADE executive committee 2008 - 2010 may I express my gratitude to all the past SEAADE council members and all past Presidents of SEAADE who continue to support and participate in SEAADE’ activities.
